LMPD is investigating another incident which bears similarity to recent robbery assaults in south Louisville. On Sunday morning, a woman reported an armed individual approaching her vehicle in the 4500 block of Kennedy Place, Valley Station. She noticed a figure sprinting down the sidewalk opposite her residence after she had parked outside her home. As she waited at the complex’s front entrance after alerting police, the same individual allegedly approached her passenger window, brandishing a gun.

Though police promptly responded, they couldn’t locate the suspect. The victim described him as a Black male, 5’7″ to 5’9″, with a slender build, donned in black clothing, a hoodie, and a silky mask displaying an unidentified graphic design. The mask concealed his mouth and nose, and he was armed with a silver handgun.

Given the similarity in the suspect’s description to previous incidents, LMPD believes there might be a connection, despite this event occurring slightly off the usual path. This marks the seventh such incident recently reported.

LMPD commended the woman for her vigilance, suggesting her alertness possibly averted a graver situation. The Third Division Detectives office of LMPD is heading the investigation.
