Los Angeles Rams wide receiver DeMarcus Robinson was robbed at gunpoint outside a hotel in Los Angeles on Friday, according to multiple reports. The incident occurred just after midnight, and law enforcement sources confirmed that officers responded to a call of a robbery. Robinson, who was not injured, had over $100,000 worth of jewelry, including a luxury watch, stolen from him.
Police have launched an investigation into the robbery, but as of Saturday morning, no suspects have been apprehended.
Robinson, 29, signed with the Rams in June after playing six seasons with the Kansas City Chiefs, where he was part of the team that won Super Bowl LIV, and one season with the Baltimore Ravens.
