Long Island MS-13 Leader Admits Responsibility for Eight Brutal Murders, Including High School Girls

In a shocking revelation, Alexi Saenz, the former head of the Sailors Locos Salvatruchas Westside clique, has confessed to his involvement in eight brutal murders, including the vicious beating deaths of two local high school girls. Saenz, 29, made this admission as part of a plea deal reached in federal court in Central Islip, New York.

The murders, which occurred in 2016, involved the baseball bat beatings and hacking deaths of Nisa Mickens, 15, and her 16-year-old friend, Kayla Cuevas. These heinous acts were just a fraction of the violence orchestrated by Saenz, who has been described by US Attorney for the Eastern District of New York, Breon Pearce, as a ruthless leader with blood on his hands.

Saenz, also known as “Blatsy” and “Plaky,” pleaded guilty to racketeering and weapons charges, accepting a potential prison sentence of up to 70 years. However, prosecutors have stated that they retain the right to withdraw the plea agreement if Saenz’s brother, Jairo, does not also agree to a plea deal.

The murders of Mickens and Cuevas were the result of escalating disputes on social media between Cuevas and various MS-13 members and associates. Following a fight at Brentwood High School, the gang authorized Cuevas’ killing, leading to the tragic deaths of the two innocent teenagers.

In court, Saenz’s attorney read his allocution, where he admitted to giving the order for the hit on the girls but claimed he was not present during the attack. Outside the courtroom, Mickens’ mother, Elizabeth Alvarado, expressed her grief and desire for justice, stating that the families of the victims cannot move forward while the pain and recognition of the crimes persist.

The Saenz brothers were also charged in connection with the murders of Michael Johnson, Oscar Acosta, Javier Castillo, Dewann Stacks, and Esteban Alvarado-Bonilla. George Johnson, the father of Michael Johnson, vehemently denied Saenz’s claim that his son was a rival gang member, emphasizing that his son had bipolar disorder and was handicapped.

MS-13, a transnational gang, has left a trail of mutilated bodies buried in shallow graves across Long Island in recent years. Acting Suffolk County Police Commissioner Robert Waring condemned the gang’s senseless and barbaric crimes, expressing hope that Saenz’s guilty plea would provide some closure to the victims’ families and demonstrate the commitment to dismantling criminal enterprises.
