Attorney Brian Andino has requested to withdraw from the ongoing assault case against Joseline Hernandez, where Big Lex is the alleged victim. In court documents, Andino cited “irreconcilable differences” as the reason for his withdrawal. The judge has yet to accept his request. The case stems from a fight between Big Lex and Hernandez backstage at FLA Live Arena in June at the Floyd Mayweather v. John Gotti III bout. Video footage from the incident shows Hernandez repeatedly assaulting Big Lex, even as security personnel attempted to intervene.
Hernandez is facing multiple charges, including felony resisting officers with violence, felony battery on a law enforcement officer, misdemeanor battery, misdemeanor battery causing bodily harm, and a misdemeanor trespass charge. According to the arrest report, one officer witnessed Hernandez exiting a bathroom within the dressing room and becoming aggressive when informed she needed to leave the property. The report also mentioned a female victim who stated that Hernandez threw a cardboard box at her head and proceeded to strike her face and head with closed fists while she was seated on the event level of FLA Live Arena.
During an appearance on The Breakfast Club, Hernandez addressed the arrest, claiming that she was not the aggressor in the incident. She stated, “I’m always gonna protect myself. If you see me out here in the streets, you know I’m just making sure that I’m straight and no one hurts me. The media only shows you one thing, it looks like a whole lot of chaos, but you might not know what happened prior to that chaos.”
