Multiple law enforcement agencies were involved in a chase and shooting incident at a Walmart in Bea. The incident occurred at the Walmart located in the 8000 block of Bandera Road near Mainland and Gilbo. According to preliminary information, the chase originated from Bandera County and involved a possible murder suspect on a motorcycle.
Eyewitnesses reported hearing gunshots inside the Walmart, prompting panic among shoppers and employees. One witness stated that she initially mistook the first gunshot for something else, but the second shot left no doubt in her mind. She quickly grabbed her son and fled the store along with other customers and employees.
Law enforcement agencies, including the San Antonio Police Department (SAPD), Bear County Sheriff’s Office, Helotes PD, and Bandera County Sheriff’s Office, responded to the scene. A shootout between a deputy and the suspect took place in front of the Walmart. The Texas Rangers have been called in to investigate the shooting.
