Krispy Kreme Heist: Van with 10,000 Doughnuts Stolen in Sydney

In an unusual theft incident early Wednesday morning in Sydney’s northwest, a van carrying 10,000 Krispy Kreme doughnuts was stolen. The van was commandeered around 4 am in Carlingford while the driver was inside a service station on Pennant Hills Road. The alleged thief, a 30-year-old woman, reportedly seized the opportunity to drive off with the vehicle while it was unattended.

The Hills Police Area Command is actively investigating the doughnut heist. Krispy Kreme Australia confirmed the van was en route to deliver the doughnuts to Newcastle stores. Lenny Reddy, head of supply chain at Krispy Kreme ANZ, assured customers that the company is working diligently to replace the stolen stock. He expressed gratitude for the prompt response of the NSW Police in addressing the situation.

The suspect is described as an Aboriginal/Torres Strait Islander woman in her early 30s, with long dark hair, dressed in dark clothing, and carrying a white handbag. The stolen vehicle is a white LDV van, registered in New South Wales under the number DG94MY.
