Josh Peck, known for his role in the popular Nickelodeon show Drake and Josh, has expressed his support for his former co-star Drake Bell and other survivors who have come forward with allegations of abuse and misconduct in the entertainment industry. Peck took to Instagram to share his thoughts after watching the four-part docuseries, Quiet on Set, which sheds light on the emotional and physical abuse experienced by individuals on Nickelodeon sets.
In his statement, Peck mentioned that he had reached out to Drake privately and wanted to extend his support to the survivors who had the courage to share their stories. He emphasized the importance of protecting children and expressed hope that the public discussion surrounding these allegations would lead to necessary changes within the industry.
Drake Bell, who was prominently featured in Quiet on Set, has also been facing backlash on social media for his silence on the matter. However, he recently addressed the situation on TikTok, explaining that he needed time to process the emotional impact of the docuseries. Bell revealed that Peck had reached out to him privately and had been supportive throughout this difficult time.
The series highlights the experiences of various individuals, including Bell, who accused dialogue coach Brian Peck (no relation to Josh Peck) of sexually assaulting him during their time working on The Amanda Show and All That. Brian Peck was arrested in 2003 on multiple charges of child sexual abuse and later pleaded no contest to two charges. He served a jail sentence of 16 months and is now a registered sex offender.
Quiet on Set co-director Emma Schwartz spoke about working with Bell and the relief he felt in finally sharing his story publicly. Schwartz mentioned that Bell had been holding this burden for a long time and hoped that by speaking out, he could continue to heal and inspire others to come forward.
It is important to note that Bell has faced his own struggles with mental health and legal issues, including two DUI arrests. In 2021, he was sentenced to two years’ probation for attempted child endangerment after being accused of sending explicit messages and having sexual contact with a minor. Bell has denied these allegations and stated that he ceased communication with the individual upon learning her age.
The revelations in Quiet on Set have sparked a broader conversation about the dark side of the entertainment industry and the need for accountability. Survivors sharing their stories can help bring about necessary changes and encourage others to speak up.

I applaud Josh Peck for speaking out in support of Drake Bell and other survivors who have bravely shared their stories of abuse and misconduct in the entertainment industry. It’s crucial that we continue to shed light on these issues and hold those responsible accountable.
In light of this, my personal goal is to educate myself further on the prevalence of abuse and misconduct in the entertainment industry. I want to stay informed about the steps being taken to address these issues and support organizations that provide resources and assistance to survivors.
