Husband of Former “Selling Sunset” Star Arrested for Violating Restraining Order

Los Angeles police have arrested Christian Richard Dumontet, the husband of former “Selling Sunset” star Christine Quinn, for the second time this week. Dumontet, 45, was taken into custody on Wednesday evening at their Hollywood Hills home for allegedly violating an emergency restraining order. The order was issued after Dumontet allegedly threw a heavy object that struck their 2-year-old child.

Authorities confirmed that neither Quinn nor their child were present at the home during the arrest. Dumontet, who professionally goes by Christian Richard, was released on $30,000 bond on Thursday morning, according to booking records.

This arrest follows an incident on Tuesday afternoon when Dumontet was initially taken into custody for domestic violence. Sources indicate that he allegedly threw a heavy object at Quinn, but it missed her and hit their young son, causing injury. Quinn and the child were taken to a hospital, while Dumontet was led away in handcuffs.

Following the incident, Quinn was granted an emergency protective order, which typically prohibits the subject from approaching the protected person’s residence. Quinn, known as the “brassy provocateur” on the Netflix reality series “Selling Sunset,” left the show after five seasons. The series focuses on the Oppenheim Group, a premier real estate agency on the Sunset Strip.

Quinn and Dumontet’s December 2019 wedding, described as a “Gothic Winter Wonderland-themed” event, was featured on the show. Their child, Christian Georges Dumontet, was born in 2021.
