Hunter Biden has filed a lawsuit against Rudy Giuliani, accusing him of computer fraud. The lawsuit was filed on September 26 in California’s federal court. Biden alleges that Giuliani and his attorney, Bob Costello, have violated his digital privacy by searching for, hacking into, tampering with, manipulating, copying, and disseminating his personal data.
Giuliani’s adviser, Ted Goodman, responded to the lawsuit by stating that Biden had previously denied ownership of the laptop in question. He also mentioned the presence of potentially incriminating material on the laptop.
This is not the only lawsuit Biden has brought against individuals encroaching into his personal data. He has also sued the Inland Revenue Service over alleged unlawful disclosures made by whistleblowers who accused government prosecutors of derailing an investigation.
In addition to the lawsuit from Biden, Giuliani is facing other legal challenges. He has been named in two defamation suits amounting to $4 billion for his role in promoting conspiracy theories related to the 2020 election. Giuliani has also been ordered to pay $200,000 in penalties and legal fees in a defamation civil suit brought by two Georgia election workers. Furthermore, his own lawyer, Bob Costello, has filed a lawsuit against him seeking almost $1.4 million in unpaid legal fees.
