Human Skeletal Remains Identified, Arrest Made in Murder Case

Human skeletal remains found in Lillington, North Carolina have been identified as belonging to a man named Tyrone Taylor, according to Sheriff Wayne Coats. Daquan Seandre Thomas has been arrested and charged with murder in relation to Taylor’s death. Thomas, who was dating Taylor’s sister, had previously faced domestic violence charges involving her. Taylor went missing in September, and his burned car was discovered in Cumberland County on September 8.

On November 20, workers clearing a lot on Shady Grove Road reported finding the remains to the Harnett County 911 Center. Deputies confirmed the discovery of human skeletal remains, although the sex and race could not be initially determined due to advanced decomposition.

The investigation into Taylor’s disappearance and murder is ongoing.
