Gypsy Rose Blanchard Announces Pregnancy with Former Prison Pen Pal

Gypsy Rose Blanchard, known for her involvement in the murder of her abusive mother, Dee Dee Blanchard, has recently announced that she is expecting a child with her former prison pen pal, Ken Urker. The 32-year-old made the revelation in a YouTube video titled “I’m Pregnant, My Journey So Far,” where she shared that she is currently 11 weeks pregnant and due in January 2025.

Blanchard, who gained notoriety in 2015 for her role in the murder of her mother, suffered from Munchausen syndrome by proxy, a rare mental illness in which a caregiver fabricates illnesses in their child. After serving seven years in prison for her involvement in the murder, Blanchard was released in December 2023.

Following her release, Blanchard embarked on a media circuit, appearing in a documentary and giving interviews about her life after prison. During this time, she married Ryan Anderson, whom she had met while incarcerated. However, in March of this year, Blanchard announced her divorce from Anderson, citing feeling “lost” in their marriage.

Shortly after her divorce, Blanchard reconnected with her former fiancé, Ken Urker, whom she had also met while in prison. The couple decided to give their relationship another chance and soon discovered that they were expecting a child together.

While some followers have expressed concerns about Blanchard’s readiness for motherhood, given the short time since her release from prison, she addressed these concerns in her YouTube video. Blanchard acknowledged that no one is truly prepared to become a parent and emphasized her focus on maintaining a healthy relationship with Urker and ensuring the well-being of herself and the baby.

  1. It’s great to see Gypsy Rose Blanchard moving forward with her life and starting a family. Given her unique circumstances, I would highly recommend seeking professional counseling or therapy services for her and her partner, Ken Urker. Dealing with the aftermath of such a traumatic experience and navigating the challenges of parenthood can be overwhelming. A qualified therapist can provide the necessary support, guidance, and tools to help them heal, build healthy relationships, and create a nurturing environment for their child. It’s important
