Two men were shot during a brazen daylight robbery of a pharmacy in Manhattan, according to police. The incident occurred on August 28 at around 4:40 p.m. when two gunmen entered a pharmacy located on the corner of E. 123rd St. in Harlem. Both robbers were armed with firearms.
One of the thieves shot a 23-year-old man in the back, while his accomplice pointed his gun at another victim’s belly and took his backpack. As they were leaving the store, the gunmen shot a 43-year-old man in the back of his right thigh. Paramedics arrived at the scene and transported both victims to a nearby hospital in stable condition. Law enforcement officials have stated that both men are expected to survive.
The robbers fled the scene in a dark-colored Honda, which was seen speeding away down E. 123rd St. Surveillance footage of the thieves has been released by the police. The suspects are described as men in their 20s with slim to medium builds.
