A viral video has surfaced, revealing gruesome details of the murder of five college students in Mexico. The students, identified as Roberto Olmeda, Diego Lara, Uriel Galván, Dante Cedillo, and Jaime Martínez, were kidnapped, tortured, and murdered in an abandoned home in Lagos de Moreno, Jalisco. The chilling video shows the students being forced to attack, stab, and decapitate each other, making it one of the most disturbing pieces of evidence in Mexico’s recent history.
Authorities believe that the victims were abducted by the Jalisco New Generation Cartel on August 11 and taken to the house where their remains were later found. The leaked video, which has gone viral, depicts the students kneeling next to each other in front of a wall with the cartel’s logo painted over it. One student is seen attacking and decapitating another, suggesting that the cartel was using this as a training exercise for new recruits.
Reports suggest that the students may have had contact with a person from a call center operated by the cartel, leading to their kidnapping. The Jalisco New Generation Cartel has established a network of call centers throughout Mexico, luring job seekers with fake offers and then coercing them into working for the criminal organization under threat of death.
Mexican President Andrés Manuel López Obrador has expressed his condolences to the families of the murdered students and has vowed to bring justice to the victims. It is believed that the cartel members responsible for the crime may have fled to the United States.
