Golf Cart Involved in High-Speed Pursuit Following Robbery

A golf cart was the subject of a high-speed pursuit in North Hollywood, Los Angeles County, California. The incident began with a robbery at knifepoint involving Michelle Fisher and I M Jory Rand. The suspect, who was shirtless and shoeless with a dog on his lap, led police on a chase through valley streets and occasionally on sidewalks. The golf cart reached a top speed of approximately 19 miles per hour.

During the pursuit, officers attempted to deploy a spike strip, but the suspect managed to avoid it and continued evading capture. The chase eventually came to an end at the intersection of Oxnard and Laurel Canyon, where police were able to corner the driver in a parking lot. The suspect abandoned the golf cart and fled on foot with his dog. However, law enforcement officers were able to apprehend him.
