Four children who had been reported missing in Colorado have been found safe in Louisiana, according to the Arapahoe County Sheriff’s Office. The children, aged 4 to 9 years old, were living in a foster home and had a scheduled visit with their father, Howard Myles, starting on June 30. However, Myles failed to return them on July 2 as agreed upon. It was later discovered that Myles had ties to Louisiana and Texas.
On October 16, Myles dropped off the children at a family member’s house in Port Allen, Louisiana. They were then brought back to Colorado earlier this week. Authorities have confirmed that the children are unharmed and in good health.
Despite the recovery of the children, Howard Myles remains at large. He has active arrest warrants and was last seen in Port Allen on October 17. The children’s mother, who had also disappeared in June and was believed to be with the family, was arrested in July in Houston and is currently in the Arapahoe County Detention Facility.
The Arapahoe County Sheriff’s Office is urging anyone with information regarding Myles’ whereabouts to contact their Investigations Tipline at 720-874-8477.
