Four individuals have been apprehended after an attempted carjacking and subsequent police pursuit unfolded in Northeast Philadelphia on Sunday night. The incident began when law enforcement initiated a chase of a stolen white Dodge Durango, occupied by suspects believed to be involved in the carjacking attempt near Friends Hospital. The pursuit concluded around midnight at the intersection of Roosevelt Boulevard and Whitaker Avenue, where the Durango collided with a Ford Explorer.
Action News interviewed one of the occupants of the civilian vehicle involved in the crash. According to authorities, the white Dodge Durango had been reported as stolen, and at least one of the detained suspects was found to be armed.
