Former White House Aide Alleges Groping Incident Involving Rudy Giuliani at Jan. 6 Event

Former top aide to ex-White House chief of staff Mark Meadows, Cassidy Hutchinson, has made allegations in her upcoming book that she was groped by former Trump attorney Rudy Giuliani at an event on January 6, 2021. Hutchinson describes the incident as Giuliani approaching her backstage with a stack of documents before reaching his hand under her blazer and skirt. Giuliani’s spokesperson has denied the allegations, calling them a “disgusting lie.”

This accusation adds to a series of scandals surrounding Giuliani. Earlier this week, his former lawyers sued him for $1.36 million in unpaid legal fees. A federal judge recently ruled that Giuliani defamed former Georgia election workers Ruby Freeman and Wandrea Moss, making him liable for damages. Giuliani was also indicted in Georgia in connection with efforts to overturn the 2020 election results. Additionally, a Washington, D.C.-based bar discipline committee recommended his disbarment for his actions during the election.

Giuliani is currently facing a defamation lawsuit from Dominion Voting Systems and has received attention from special counsel Jack Smith’s office.
