Former prison officer Linda De Sousa Abreu, who is facing charges of misconduct in public office after a video of her engaging in sexual activity with an inmate surfaced, has spoken out against individuals impersonating her on the adult content platform OnlyFans. De Sousa Abreu, 30, expressed her disapproval of porn stars pretending to be her and warned the public about the proliferation of fake profiles capitalizing on her misfortune.
In a video shared on social media, De Sousa Abreu, a resident of West London, apologized to those who may have fallen victim to these impersonators and emphasized the distasteful nature of their actions. The former prison officer, who resigned from her position following the investigation triggered by the video, urged individuals to exercise caution when encountering GoFundMe pages and OnlyFans accounts claiming to be associated with her.
The video in question allegedly depicts De Sousa Abreu engaging in sexual activity with Linton Weirich, a convicted burglar serving time at HM Prison Wandsworth. Weirich, who reportedly has a partner seven months pregnant, filmed the encounter on a cellphone within the prison cell. The incident came to the attention of authorities after it was circulated between June 26 and 28.
De Sousa Abreu, a Portuguese national, was apprehended at Heathrow Airport while attempting to board a flight to Madrid. She has since been released on conditional bail and is scheduled to appear in court on July 29.
In a separate TikTok video, De Sousa Abreu expressed her frustration with the numerous fake profiles that have emerged, exploiting her situation for personal gain. She lamented the intrusive media attention she has received, noting that she can no longer visit popular establishments such as Greggs or Primark without being photographed by paparazzi.
The former prison officer also criticized certain family and friends who she believed had betrayed her during this challenging period. De Sousa Abreu emphasized the importance of carefully selecting one’s support network, as the true nature of relationships often becomes apparent during times of crisis.
De Sousa Abreu’s sister recently spoke to the press, revealing that Linda had been cautioned against intertwining her personal “lifestyle” with her professional life. The consequences of disregarding this advice, her sister claimed, are now being felt by De Sousa Abreu.
