Former NFL Linebacker Terrell Suggs Arrested for Assault in Arizona

Former NFL linebacker Terrell Suggs was arrested late Tuesday night in Scottsdale, Arizona, on charges of assault and offenses against public order, according to the Maricopa County Sheriff’s Office. Court records indicate that the 41-year-old Suggs has been charged with one count of assault and one count of offenses against public order.

The arrest stems from an incident that was reported to the Scottsdale Police Department on March 10, 2024. A police spokesperson confirmed that Suggs was booked in the MCSO Jail on charges of Threatening and Intimidating and Disorderly Conduct with a Weapon. However, no further details regarding the incident have been disclosed at this time.

Suggs, a former first-round pick out of Arizona State, enjoyed a successful 17-season career in the NFL from 2003 to 2019. He achieved great success as an All-Pro linebacker, winning two Super Bowl titles. The first came in 2013 with the Baltimore Ravens, and the second in 2019 with the Kansas City Chiefs. Suggs spent the majority of his career with the Ravens, playing 16 seasons with the team before splitting the 2019 campaign between the Arizona Cardinals and the Chiefs.

Throughout his career, Suggs earned numerous accolades, including seven Pro Bowl selections. He recorded an impressive 139 sacks, seven interceptions, and 895 career tackles. Suggs was also honored as the NFL Defensive Player of the Year in both 2003 and 2011.
