A former JetBlue employee, Dillon D. Vista, was apprehended on Wednesday for allegedly making a false bomb threat at the TWA Hotel located within JFK International Airport. Law enforcement sources revealed that Vista, who had been terminated by the airline during the COVID-19 pandemic, left a cellphone with a note stating “explosive device” in the hotel’s lobby.
Shortly after leaving the cellphone, Vista reportedly contacted the Port Authority Police Department’s JFK desk from an airport parking lot around 11 a.m. and informed them about the presence of a cellphone bomb inside the hotel. The TWA Hotel, known for its iconic status, offers rooms ranging from $559 to $1,052 per night, as stated on its website. Upon receiving the threat, a bomb squad unit swiftly responded and determined it to be a hoax, according to sources.
Following an investigation that involved reviewing surveillance footage, which captured Vista near the hotel and fleeing via the AirTrain, authorities arrested him at Jamaica Station. Sources disclosed that Vista’s termination from JetBlue had occurred years prior to this incident. It was also revealed that the airline had obtained a restraining order against him due to his persistent harassment of employees and repeated visits to the office after his dismissal.
In a peculiar Instagram post from last year, Vista had urged his followers to send a blank email to JetBlue CEO Joanna Geraghty in an attempt to regain his job. The post featured an email addressed to Geraghty with the subject line reading, “Bring Dillon back!” Furthermore, sources indicate that Vista’s last known address is a Brooklyn homeless shelter.

As I settled into my seat, Dillon approached me with a genuine smile and asked if there was anything he could do to make my flight more comfortable. I was impressed by his attentiveness and appreciated the
This former JetBlue employee, Dillon D., is a disgrace to the company and the aviation industry as a whole. It is absolutely disgusting to hear about the actions of someone who was entrusted with the responsibility of ensuring the safety and comfort of passengers. How could someone betray that trust and engage in such reprehensible behavior?
It is infuriating to think that while passengers were relying on Dillon D. to do his job diligently, he was instead involved in activities that put their safety at risk. This kind of
