A food delivery worker was brutally attacked and stabbed in the chest during a robbery in Brooklyn on Thursday evening. The incident occurred around 9:15 p.m. on West 8th Street near Bensonhurst, as the 24-year-old victim was in the process of delivering food to an apartment. While contacting the customer, two assailants suddenly approached him, catching him off guard.
Without warning, the assailants swiftly plunged a knife into the left side of the victim’s chest, inflicting a serious injury. Seizing the opportunity, they snatched the victim’s scooter and a meager sum of $20 before making their escape. The duo fled on the stolen scooter, heading south on West 8th Street.
Emergency services were promptly called, and the victim was swiftly transported to NYU Langone-Brooklyn. Thankfully, his condition was stabilized, and he is currently listed as stable.
As of Friday afternoon, the violent perpetrators remain at large, and law enforcement agencies are actively pursuing leads to bring them to justice.
