Federal Jury Trial Delayed to 2024 for Couple Accused of Kidnapping and Killing Pregnant Woman

The federal jury trial for Amber Waterman, 43, and her husband Jamie Waterman, 43, has been postponed to next year. The couple is accused of kidnapping and killing a pregnant woman, Ashley Bush. Amber Waterman is charged with kidnapping and the protection of an unborn child for the death of the child in utero. Jamie Waterman is accused of assisting Amber in the incident and is charged with being an accessory after the fact to kidnapping resulting in death.

A pretrial conference that was originally scheduled for November 8 has been vacated, and a new trial date has been set for June 3, 2024. According to a federal indictment, the Watermans allegedly transported Ashley Bush from Maysville, Arkansas, to Pineville, resulting in her death.
