Fatal Shooting Leaves One Dead and Another Injured in El Paso County

In the early hours of Monday, a shooting incident occurred in the 6100 block of Pemmican Point in unincorporated El Paso County, resulting in one fatality and another individual sustaining injuries. The El Paso County Sheriff’s Office and Fountain Police swiftly responded to the scene after receiving a report of the shooting at 3:22 a.m., as stated in a news release by the sheriff’s office.

Both victims, identified as adults, were transported away from the scene and met with first responders near the Pikes Peak International Raceway. Tragically, one of the victims succumbed to their injuries, while the other was promptly taken to a local hospital for treatment, according to the sheriff’s office.

Law enforcement authorities proceeded to the reported address of the shooting and utilized tactical resources during their search due to the presence of significant debris and storage on the property. The sheriff’s office confirmed that a suspect was apprehended at an adjacent property, although the identities of the suspect and victims have not been disclosed.
