Los Angeles police are actively investigating a fatal hit-and-run incident involving a motorcyclist in the San Fernando Valley. The crash, involving three vehicles, occurred around 6:40 p.m. Thursday in the 8600 block of North Woodley Avenue in North Hills. Surveillance footage, as reported by KTLA, captured the moment a motorcyclist, a man in his late 50s, was struck and killed by a white BMW sedan while exiting a strip mall parking lot. The identity of the deceased motorcyclist has not been released.
Following the crash, the driver of the BMW reportedly fled the scene on foot, leaving a passenger behind who cooperated with the authorities. The driver’s description is yet to be disclosed. The incident caused traffic disruptions around Woodley Avenue and Napa Street during the investigation and cleanup.
