Fatal Car Crash Ends in Tragic Fire in Corona

In a devastating turn of events, a driver who had fled a traffic collision in Corona met a tragic end when his vehicle burst into flames after yet another crash. The unidentified driver lost his life in the incident that took place between 6:45 and 7 p.m. on Thursday, July 27.

The initial collision occurred at the intersection of River Road and Lincoln Avenue, leaving authorities scrambling for information regarding the cause and potential injuries sustained. Unfortunately, no details have been released about the specific nature of this first accident.

A witness at the scene reported that one of the drivers involved failed to stop after the collision. Showing great initiative and concern for public safety, the witness trailed behind the fleeing vehicle, which happened to be a Chevrolet Tahoe. Over a distance of approximately one mile, the pursuit led them to the intersection of Rincon Street and N. Smith Street.

To the astonishment of onlookers, the reckless driver ignored road-closed signs and recklessly crashed through yellow metal barricades that were intended to protect a nearby construction zone. Finally coming to a halt, his car became engulfed in flames, sealing his fate.

Regrettably, the driver’s identity and the exact cause of his death remain undisclosed as of July 31. The Riverside County Coroner’s Office continues its investigations to shed light on these crucial details.
