Double Homicide in Philadelphia’s Tioga-Nicetown Section

Philadelphia, PA – A man and a woman were tragically shot multiple times inside a parked vehicle in the Tioga-Nicetown section of Philadelphia on Tuesday afternoon. The incident occurred shortly before 4 p.m. in the 3600 block of North 17th Street, near Erie Avenue. The victims, identified as 32-year-old Denver Newton and an unidentified man, were found lifeless in the front seats of a Kia Sportage, with the engine still running. Both individuals were pronounced dead at the scene.

According to investigators, witnesses reported seeing the assailant enter a dark-colored vehicle before fleeing the area. As of now, no arrests have been made in connection with the double homicide. Authorities are urging anyone with information to come forward and assist in the ongoing investigation.
