Daring Heist by One-Legged Man: Garner, North Carolina Police on the Hunt After Ride-Share Robbery

In a bizarre turn of events, Garner police are on an active manhunt for a one-legged suspect following an audacious armed robbery in the early hours of Saturday. The crime scene was set at the Adeline at White Oak apartment complex, a stone’s throw away from Tiber Drive East near Interstate 40, Garner Police Department revealed in a startling news release.

The incident, reported at 12:15 a.m., involved an Uber driver who had just completed a passenger drop-off. In a terrifying encounter, the driver was held at gunpoint and robbed by the suspect. The robber made away with the victim’s phone and jewelry, as per the police report.

This one-legged bandit, described as a Black man with dreads, around 5 feet 6 inches tall, of medium build, and aged between 20 to 30 years, was last seen making his escape. Remarkably, he was missing one leg, armed with crutches, and clad in a red jumpsuit. His trail led behind a building at 400 Hillgrove Lane, less than a block from the scene of the crime.

The police, in a swift response, established a perimeter and enlisted the help of a Raleigh Police Department K-9 unit. However, in a twist of fate, the K-9 was unable to track down the elusive suspect.
