Police discovered a deceased individual inside an overturned SUV submerged in a creek in Martinez on Sunday morning. The vehicle, a Honda, was found approximately 30 feet down an embankment in the 2700 block of Franklin Canyon Road. Firefighters from the Contra Costa County Fire Protection District were alerted to the scene by the California Highway Patrol.
