Bentonville Man Charged with Multiple Counts of Rape and Sexual Assault Involving Minors Has New Hearing Date

A Bentonville man, David Brian Robinson, 20, who is facing numerous charges of rape and sexual assault involving minors, has recently been granted a new hearing date. Robinson was apprehended by the diligent Bentonville police on March 31 and has since been confined to the Benton County jail, unable to secure his release on the hefty $500,000 cash bond.

Presently, Robinson is the accused party in two separate cases that are being simultaneously processed. In the first case, which dates back to his arrest earlier this year, he is charged with one count of rape and one count of violating a no contact order. The second case pertains to an additional arrest made in 2022, where Robinson faces three counts of rape and two counts of sexual assault in the second degree.

Adding to the gravity of the situation, a detective highlighted in an affidavit of probable cause that records from other law enforcement agencies indicate Robinson as a suspect in at least six other rape investigations over the course of the past three years. Distressingly, all these investigations involve victims aged between 14 and 17 years old, underlining the vulnerable nature of these cases.

The new hearing for both of Robinson’s cases is set to take place on November 16 in Benton County, allowing the justice system to progress in its pursuit of truth and accountability.
