Beaufort Family Files Lawsuit Against T-Mobile Employee Over Alleged Theft of Nude Photos

A Beaufort family has filed a lawsuit against a T-Mobile employee in Beaufort County, South Carolina, alleging that the employee stole nude photos from their phone. The lawsuit claims that on May 18, 2022, Alfonso Estrella visited a T-Mobile store located at 330 Robert Smalls Parkway to purchase a new phone. James Tu, a store employee, assisted Estrella in finding a phone and informed him that he could leave while the data was being transferred to the new device.

According to the lawsuit, after Estrella picked up the new phone, he discovered that Tu had sent nude pictures from his old phone to himself via text message. The lawsuit further alleges that Tu has a history of stealing explicit photos from other customers.

The family’s lawyers have requested a jury trial to address the matter.
