“Home Improvement” star Zachery Ty Bryan, 42, has pleaded guilty to felony assault after being arrested for domestic violence in Eugene, Oregon. The arrest occurred on July 28 following a physical dispute between Bryan and a woman. The argument had taken place earlier, and Bryan had already left the scene at the time of the report.
Bryan’s lawyer, John Kolego, stated that the actor pleaded guilty to avoid further trauma to his family. As part of the plea deal, Bryan will serve 36 months under supervised probation and is prohibited from contacting the victim. This plea deal allowed him to avoid a potential 19 to 20-month prison sentence.
This is not the first time Bryan has faced legal trouble. He has previously been arrested for domestic violence and driving under the influence. In May 2020, he pleaded guilty to driving under the influence and was sentenced to five years probation. Bryan was also arrested in October 2020 for felony strangulation, assault, coercion, menacing, harassment, and interfering with making a police report.
Bryan began his acting career at a young age and gained fame through his role in the TV show “Home Improvement.” He later transitioned into producing after fathering four children with his former wife, Carly Matros. Bryan has expressed conservative views and has made appearances on conservative news shows.
