19-Year-Old Arrested in Connection with Fatal Stabbing in San Jose

San Jose police have apprehended a 19-year-old man in connection with a fatal stabbing that occurred in late January. Nikolias Ramos, a resident of San Jose, was taken into custody earlier this month and subsequently charged with the killing of 56-year-old Jesse Quesada Diaz, also a San Jose resident. The incident took place on January 28 at approximately 4:24 p.m. in the 1500 block of Almaden Road, near the Alma neighborhood.

Upon arrival at the scene, responding officers discovered Diaz suffering from stab wounds. Despite being rushed to a nearby hospital, Diaz succumbed to his injuries. Following an extensive investigation, Ramos was identified as a suspect and subsequently located and arrested on February 16.

Ramos is currently being held without bail at the Santa Clara County Main Jail. Court records indicate that he has been criminally charged and is scheduled to be arraigned on February 22.

This tragic incident marks the fourth homicide of the year under investigation by the San Jose Police Department.
