A 15-year-old suspect has been apprehended by the police in connection with the fatal shooting of a 24-year-old man outside a deli in East New York, Brooklyn. The incident occurred on August 21. The suspect, whose name has not been released due to being a juvenile, was arrested on Tuesday and charged with murder and weapons possession. The victim, identified as Ba, was inside the grocery store when an argument ensued between him and the shooter, who is believed to be affiliated with a local street gang. The altercation spilled outside, and the assailant fired a gun, fatally striking Ba in the head. Ba was rushed to a nearby hospital but succumbed to his injuries three days later. The suspect, despite his young age, has a history of several juvenile arrests, none of which were for violent offenses. The teen’s arraignment in Brooklyn Criminal Court is pending.
